Of LaGrange, KY passed away Saturday July 23, 2011.
He worked part-time as a Special Deputy for the Western District United States Marshals Service and proudly retired as a second generation Postal Inspector for the United States Postal Service after 36 years. Memberships include a graduate of Stetson University, Fraternal Order of Police, NSA, IABTI, FLEOA, IACP, IPA-USA, AARF, NARFE. Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and The National Association of Retired Postal Inspectors.
Survivors include a son; James D. Ostwalt (Amy) of Marlton, NJ, parents Jack and Margaret Ostwalt, sisters; Rita Ostwalt-Whitfield, Deborah Ostwalt-Smith and Melinda Ann Cecil, companion Nancy Beck and best friend Mr. Bob.
Service will be 7pm Thursday at the Oldham County Funeral Home 706 W. Jefferson St. in LaGrange, KY with visitation 2-7pm prior to service.
